Method

The engine normalizes dimensions to metres, calculates rectangular or cylindrical volume, applies a selected waste factor, then applies only the configured purchasing rule.

Worked example

A 12 ft by 10 ft slab at 4 in depth starts at about 1.48 yd³. This default worksheet shows how the selected 10% allowance and quarter-yard purchasing increment affect the final order quantity.

Measure before you pour

Measure finished length and width inside the forms, then measure planned poured depth. For footings and walls, measure each distinct run separately. For columns or holes, record diameter, height or depth, and the count of identical pieces.
